Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is excited to bring The Sound of Music to the stage at Sonrise Church this fall!
Directed by Sonrise Children’s Director Makenzie Plumb, with Music Direction by Sonrise worship and youth leader Rene Smith and Assistant Direction by worship and youth intern Caleb Cunigan, this beloved Broadway classic is a wonderful opportunity for local students and families to experience the joy of live theater.

The Information You Need to Know
Audition for the Show!
Students ages 8–18 are invited to audition for The Sound of Music on August 22–23. To be eligible to audition, students must be enrolled in a CYT Fall class.
CYT offers theater arts classes for students ages 4–18, providing quality training in acting, singing, dancing, and more while building character, creativity, and confidence in a Christ-centered community.

Set against the breathtaking Austrian Alps, The Sound of Music tells the inspiring story of Maria, a spirited young woman whose love, faith, and music transform the lives of the Von Trapp family. Filled with timeless songs like “Do-Re-Mi,” “My Favorite Things,” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” this treasured musical celebrates courage, hope, and the importance of family.
Join us at Sonrise Church for this unforgettable Broadway-style production performed by talented local students through CYT.
