Christmas Eve Services - December 24th @ 2pm & 4pm

Perspective

This message uses an analogy to show how often we live life with a narrow, “square-screen” perspective, missing the fuller picture God sees. It then walks through the story of Joseph in Genesis, highlighting how his betrayal, slavery, false accusation, and imprisonment could have led him to believe God had abandoned him. Yet Joseph consistently honored God—with integrity, humility, and faith—despite not understanding why his suffering continued for 13 years. The message emphasizes that Joseph’s story reveals how God works behind the scenes, moving us from one place to another for purposes far bigger than we can see in the moment.

This message ultimately challenges us to examine our own perspective and trust God even when life doesn’t make sense. Joseph didn’t wait to see the big picture before obeying; he trusted God long before he understood what God was doing. Likewise, we are invited to shift from a limited, self-focused viewpoint to a “widescreen” perspective—looking for where God is moving, seeking Him in Scripture and prayer, waiting faithfully, and recognizing that He is with us even in our hardest seasons. The message closes with a call to let God change us, to walk out differently than we came in, and to live with confidence that He has a bigger plan unfolding in ways we may not yet see.
