Discipleship isn’t a solo project—it’s something God forms in us through people. Community is where faith moves from ideas to lived experience, where we learn to love, forgive, and serve in real relationships. It’s also where we find a safe place to be known, to ask honest questions, and to receive encouragement when life feels heavy or growth feels slow. Spiritual formation doesn’t happen in isolation; God often uses the people around us to shape us just as much as prayer or Scripture.
At Sonrise, following Jesus in community can look like showing up and participating in Sunday services, joining a Small Group, or jumping into a Bible study class. It can mean building friendships at gatherings and events, or being mentored by mature believers who can help you take your next step with wisdom and accountability. Wherever you’re starting, there’s a place for you to connect, grow, and move forward—together.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
