Dylan serves as the Youth Pastor and oversees programming across the church, while Rene leads worship and works full-time with Christian Youth Theatre. Married for two years, they love investing in young adults and spending time with their goldendoodle, Casper.

At Sonrise Church in Santee, our Young Adults ministry creates a space where people ages 18 to 30ish can find real community, lasting friendships, and a stronger connection to Jesus. Whether you’re in college, starting your career, or figuring out what’s next, you’ll find a group of people walking the same road and growing together in faith. Every week, young adults from Lakeside, El Cajon, and all over East County San Diego come together to worship, share a meal, and build relationships that go beyond Sunday.
Our gatherings are designed to be honest, relational, and rooted in God’s Word. You’ll experience a mix of powerful worship, practical teaching, and genuine conversations about life and faith. We believe that Jesus meets us right where we are—and that community plays a huge role in shaping who we become. Whether you’ve been in church for years or are just exploring faith, Sonrise Young Adults is a place where you’ll feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow.
